Cars today rely heavily on software, but only a small portion of this software is visible in the user interface. Software engineers are crucial for a working electrical system in a solar car. The software ensures the car's safety while also making it drivable. Software engineering within our solar team consists of two main areas: the embedded software (C++) that runs on the PCBs designed by the electrical engineers, and the software for additional systems like the user interface or self-driving features.
